Project Details
Looking to promote himself at the Electric Daisy Carnival, one of the largest electronic dance music festivals in Las Vegas, Nevada, Tiësto wanted to create a modern, irregular-shaped pop up display store.
A Unique Build for a Unique Brand
The exhibit design for the pop-up shop was created around specs and requirements provided by the client and further embellished by our in-house design team. By using AGAM, a modular metal extrusion we were able to custom powder-coat the entire exhibit black to further match Tiësto’s unique branding. The versatile use of AGAM extrusion also allowed for added retail accessories, lighting, etc. This also channeled the usage of a new fluorescent acrylic infill that mysteriously gives the appearance to be glowing without the use of external lights or electricity.
Big Requirements for a Tiny Space
With this project, came the opportunity to once again flex our creative muscle within the exhibit design realm. Although we were provided a specific set of requirements and had to build within a very restrictive space provided by the MGM Resort, the pop-up shop exhibit seemed to appear that it had been there for years. All of these factors challenged our event management abilities, due to the fact that we had minimum time to coordinate and get approval between the MGM management, the pop up mob, as well as the end client, Tiësto. Working with multiple entities resulted in multiple changes. Our team overcame the challenges, facing them head-on. In the end, our team built an exhibit that did much more than just promote an artist. It blended music, fashion, culture, and the unique vibe of our client’s brand.
